Kopia Orderu Orła Białego

Własnie skończyłam pracę nad rekonstrukcją Orderu orła Białego na podstawie wzorów z XVIII wieku. Może nie wszystko jest perfekcyjne, ale jestem bardzo zadowolona. Być może będę miała więcej takich zamówień i wtedy poprawię pewne detale. Tyma czasem chciałabym się pochwalić tym, co zrobiłam do tej pory, a było to dość pracochłonne. Użyłam metalowych bajorków, nici srebrnych i złotych różnej grubości, nici jedwabnej i cekinów - niestety tym razem sztucznych. 

I just finished my last reenactment work for special order - a copy of 18th century, polish distinction of White Eagle. Maby it's not perfect, but I'm proud for this first time, and maby in future I will have more such orders, so I will make it little better. I used metallic bullions, silver and gold threads of various kind, silk threads, and sequins - this time synthetic.

When I observed the originals distinctions, I decided to made it in two layers.

Od jakiegoś czasu obserwuję stronę L'Archiviste frénétique na facebook'u i uważam, że to jeden z najbardziej wartościowych zakątków tego portalu - zwłaszcza dla kostiumologów i historyków tkanin i designu. Administratorzy publikują unikatowe fragmenty francuskich archiwów,których tematyka kręci się wokół jedwabi i ubiorów. Serdecznie wszystkim polecam, a dzisiaj wrzucam próbkę ich postów:

W opisie jest data, która zwróciła moją uwagę. Zdziwił mnie bardzo ten rok 1735 - przecież wzornictwo jest ewidentnie typowe dla drugiej połowy lat 20' XVIII wieku. Przełumaczyłam sobie zatem francuski opis i zachwyciła mnie niesamowita ciekawostka:

"Cette étoffe est la seule qu'on ait encore vüe aux Indes, parfaitement imitée de celles de France ; les connoisseurs même s'y trompent."

Próbki kolekcjonował przez księcia de Richelieu, Louis-François-Armand de vignerot (1696-1788)

Nigdy wcześniej nie słyszałam  tym, żeby w Indiach w XVIII wieku tak skrupulatnie kopiowano europejskie wzornictwo, ale widocznie to była wielka rzadkość, skoro nawet komentarz kreślony ręką XVIII-to wiecznego obserwatora podkreśla unikatowość tych próbek.

New embroidered stomacher is ready for sale

I am proud to present the hand embroidered stomacher made by Atelier Saint-Honore. Embroidery on a stomacher is handmade by my design, but of course I was inspired by the design of the second half of the 18th century, so everything is historically correct. I used high quality materials:
- vintage, true metal sequins in 3 sizes,
- vintage metall sequing in star shape,
- small, naturall fresh water pearls,
- antique, real silver thread,
- antique metallic threads with patina,
- small, synthetic sequins imitating mother of pearl,
- vintage metallic stripes,
- vintage metallic bullions in dark silver color,
- pale blue silk moire fabric,
- beige linen lining,
- plastic whale bones

All the techniques of embroidery I used, are historiacal correct. The stomacher is hand sewn with antique silk thread. I have a nice impression that we managed to keep a stitch reminiscent of the eighteenth century, and it's looks like jewerly. It comes with fine box.

Kostium jako drugie ciało króla - wykład

Zazwyczaj moja twórczość przynosi mi więcej rozczarowania niż satysfakcji, ale czasem zrobię coś z czego jestem naprawdę dumna. Dzisiaj z przyjemnością dzielę się z Wami jednym z moich najlepszych wykładów, w którym analizuję strój władcy średniowiecznego w sposób na jaki nie porwał się chyba jeszcze żaden kostiumolog. Jak idea "Dwóch ciał króla" opracowana przez Kantorowicza przekłada się bezpośrednio na królewski / cesarski strój ceremonialny? Będzie też trochę o średniowiecznej wizji kosmosu i jej związkach z płaszczami królewskimi. Zapraszam do słuchania wszystkich miłośników kostiumologii, antropologii i historii.
